Video Poker Casino Walkthrough
It was in 1980s when video poker became increasingly popular in casinos. After all, it's NOT as intimidating as playing in a REAL poker table where all eyes are on you... trying to read what you are thinking and looking for cues. Nowadays, many floors in casinos have been invaded by video poker... and they have invaded even the online world. Video Poker Casino is a fine EXAMPLE of this game. And the best part is, you don't have to spend a dime to play the game and have fun. Though, you can argue that since it's FREE to play, you can't win money, too. BUT who says you always needs to pay a premium for fun? Anyway, let's take a closer look at the game's mechanics.
Looking at the panel on the right side, you will see your points' details: (1) 'Current' shows you how much total points you have at the moment. (2) 'Bet' represents your bet points. So you are feeling lucky and want to increase your bet points? Or perhaps you want to play it safe and keep your bet or wager down to a minimum? No biggie. You can easily adjust the the bet limit. All you have to do is 'toy' with the red plus and minus button. Once you get the bet or wager amount you are comfortable with, you are good to go. (3) Lastly, 'Win' shows you the winning points you have earned.
The Game Play - The idea here in Video Poker Casino is to try and bring the best combination of cards possible such as a high ranking pair or 3 cards of the same same color. After setting the bet limit and getting on with the game, you are given the option to hold or discard any of the cards that you have. To hold, just press the shiny blue Hold button of the corresponding card you have chosen. Should you change your mind and want to discard it instead, just press the Hold button again and you are done. So you are now done with your Hold decisions? Are you sure? Yeah? OK, with that out of the way, press the Deal button. All of the cards that are NOT held will be discarded. New cards will appear and take their place. The final five cards will be your hand.
So you won with your hand? Cool! Now the fun doesn't stop there. You can win MORE. You will then have to guess the color of the next card in the deck - is it a black one or a red one? Just press the button of the corresponding color to make your guess (press Red if you think it's a red card, and black if that's what your gut tells you, duh?). If your guess is correct, your winning points are doubled... that's the good part. The not so good news, though, is that if your guess falters, you will lose all of your existing points. For the uninitiated, here are the winning combinations you should aim for: (1) Pair of cards. (2) Three Of A Kind - 3 cards of the same face or number. (3) Straight - these are 5 cards in sequence like 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Alternatively, you can have a straight hand which is as follows: 10, Ace, Jack, Queen, and King. (4) Then there's the Flush - 5 cards of the same color. (5) Full House - a pair and three of a kind combined. (6) Last BUT not the least, we have the Poker composed of 4 aces and a King.
