Blackjack Solitaire Walkthrough
Blackjack Solitaire is a card game that combines blackjack (also known as twenty-one or "21") with solitaire (as its name implies). This card game features simple controls, clean graphics, and minimal sound effects.
The objective of Blackjack Solitaire is to form as many columns of cards with point values of twenty-one before time runs out. Cards have the same point values in this card game as they do in blackjack. Number cards are valued by their numbers while face cards (jacks, queens, and kings) are valued at ten. Aces can count as either one or eleven. It is not possible to bust (go over twenty-one) in this card game.
The mouse is used to control Blackjack Solitaire. Click and drag cards from the cells to form columns. Up to four columns may be present at any given time. Columns that are valued at twenty-one will earn one hundred points (two hundred for natural blackjack, a face card and an ace) and be removed from the table. The bottom-most card of a column can be moved to other columns, but at the cost of five points. You may also discard the cards in cells and deal new ones from the deck at the cost of fifty points. The next round begins when all cards from the deck have been dealt.
If you want to earn a high score in Blackjack Solitaire, it is best to try to get as many natural blackjacks as possible. Natural blackjacks consist of a face card and an ace and earn two hundred points rather than the one hundred points earned by other methods of reaching twenty-one. Avoid use of the discard button since you lose fifty points each time that you use it. Also, if you manage to clear the entire screen without discarding any cards, you will earn a whopping one thousand bonus points at the end of the round.
Blackjack Solitaire may be different from the common variations of solitaire found on electronic devices, computers, or the Web, but it is simple to learn. The shallow learning curve and simple controls make this card game excellent for casual gamers.
